How To Change Template Design & Structure

Hi,
I have my website running with IDC in http://counsellinghypnotherapy.com.au/
I want to change its structure and design by way implementing changes in its template file.
when i opened the php scripts in folder , all the codes are in encoded format , i can't see the real coding stuff.
So can you please guide how can i change the look and feel of my website by editing the files?
